This was conducted so as to better understand the complex dynamics of an industry that effectively contributes $40 billion to Australia’s Gross Domestic Product and some $9.2 billion1 to the Queensland economy.
The purpose of ‘The Palace’ Scoping Study is to provide Regional Development Australia Fitzroy and Central West (RDAFCW) with a level of detailed information on the cultural significance, protocols and required statutory and legislative process that is necessary to assess the level of legal and cultural appropriateness of future development applications. This includes all or parts thereof the noted Aboriginal Rock Art site namely ‘The Palace’.
The purpose of the Scoping Study is to enhance RDAFCWs Indigenous engagement practices and subsequent decision making processes by – identifying local, culturally appropriate representative stakeholders who are willing to work collaboratively with RDAFCW.
Regional Development Australia Fitzroy and Central West in an effort to support and contribute to the National Partnership Agreement on Indigenous Economic Participation have commissioned the theme of this document in developing a Central Queensland Industry [Resource Sector] based Indigenous employment pathway strategy.
The purpose of this Scoping Study is to enhance RDAFCWs Migration and Settlement engagement practices and subsequent decision making processes by – identifying local representative stakeholders who are willing to work collaboratively with RDAFCW in the provision and receipt of current, valid, inclusive and relevant knowledge transfer regarding migration and settlement.
