The Australian Government will provide $30 million in support to drought-affected households through the Drought Community Support Initiative.

Support under the initiative consists of up to $3,000 per household, comprising up to $2,000 in cash and $1,000 in vouchers. Farmers, farm workers and farm suppliers/contractors facing hardship due to drought in the 81 eligible Local Government Areas under the Drought Communities Programme Extension can receive this assistance.
