Regional Queensland benefits from COVID Works for Queensland program

Local Government shovel-ready projects across regional Queensland will receive funding from the Queensland Government’s $200 million COVID Works for Queensland program,  announced today.

The $200 million 2020–21 COVID W4Q program is available to all Queensland councils and is to be used to support the delivery of job creating new infrastructure, maintenance or minor works projects, including the bring-forward of planned/budgeted maintenance or capital works, that are focused on essential services, economic development and community wellbeing outcomes.

Local Governments are required to submit Project Lists to the Queensland Government by 12 June 2020 with the final list of projects to be announced on 6 July 2020.
