BBRF Round 4 – Successful Projects List for Central and Western Queensland

Congratulations to all the approved recipients under Round 4 of Building Better Regions Fund and an extra congratulations to those within the Central and Western Queensland region:
Infrastructure Stream
- Australian Age of Dinosaur – The project will construct an extension to the existing laboratory space; and the installation of approximately 24 km pipeline to supply water to the museum and connect to two 20,000 litre tanks and solar pump equipment. Total Project Cost: $474,666. Approved Funding: $415, 333
- Central Highlands Regional Council – The project will expand the Emerald Community Kindergarten in the Central Highlands region of Queensland, providing an additional 50 places for local children. Total Project Cost $2,887,721. Approved Funding: $1,400,000
- Multicap Limited – The project will construct three buildings containing units specifically designed to meet the needs of people living with disabilities and complex needs. Total Project Cost: $2,927,452. Approved Funding: $950,000
- Windorah Rodeo Club – The project will expand the back yards of the Windorah Rodeo Club arena. Total Project Cost: $55,000. Approved Funding: $41,250
- Gladstone Regional Council – The project will deliver new waste disposal capacity for the Gladstone region. Total Project Cost: $6,372,836. Approved Funding: $3,186,418
- Longreach Regional Council – The project will construct eight drought-resistant paddocks and infrastructure to facilitate the safe transit and accommodation of cattle. Total Project Cost: $959,398. Approved Funding: $719,548
Community Investment Stream
- Gladstone Regional Council – The project will illuminate three heritage buildings in the town plus add a new water and lights display in the annual Gladstone Luminous event. Total Project Cost: $150,000. Approved Funding: $75,000
