Building Our Regions Funding (Round 5) announced

Some great projects in the Central and Western Queensland region were approved under Round 5 of the Queensland Government’s Building Our Regions Fund.

  • Banana Shire Council – Biloela Industrial Estate – Stage 3 – $1,807,923.00 in funding approved.
  • Barcaldine Regional Council – The Globe Precinct Tourist Lookout – $1,500,000.00 in funding approved.
  • Blackall-Tambo Regional Council – Blackall-Tambo Internet Project – Stage 3 – $200,000.00 in funding approved.
  • Blackall-Tambo Regional Council – Tambo Trucking Heritage Building – $454,900.00 in funding approved.
  • Central Highlands Regional Council – Emerald Airport Terminal Redevelopment – $2,140,000.00 in funding approved.
  • Central Highlands Regional Council – Yamala Enterprise Area Water Infrastructure and Design Study – $290,000.00 in funding approved.
  • Diamantina Shire Council – Diamantina Solar Power Project – $944,860.00 in funding approved.
  • Gladstone Regional Council – Gladstone Coal Exporters Sports and Events Precinct Business Case – $54,000.00 in funding approved.
  • Livingstone Shire Council – Yeppoon Sewage Treatment Plant Sustainable Energy Project – $2,810,500.00 in funding approved.
  • Livingstone Shire Council – Causeway Lake Revitalisation Business Case – $300,000.00  in funding approved.
  • Longreach Shire Council – Western Queensland Livestock Exchange Redevelopment – $874,120.00 in funding approved.
  • Rockhampton Regional Council – North Rockhampton Flood Backflow Prevention – $871,750.00 in funding approved.

Approximately 48 new FTE jobs will be created from these projects.
