Business and Community Growth Program

10 December, 2021

It is with great pleasure that we share details of the new Business and Community Growth Program (BCGP), as recently launched by the Minister for Agriculture and Northern Australia, the Hon David Littleproud MP.

The BCGP builds on the existing Northern Australia Development Program (NADP) and will support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander incorporated organisations, community groups, partnerships and sole-traders to implement some of their wish-list capital investment projects by providing the opportunity for financial support.

Successful applicants will receive a grant to support business growth, improve social and economic infrastructure, and deliver employment outcomes.

Applications for the BCGP opened on 6 December 2021. It is a merit based program with the first round open until 13 January 2022, but we encourage applicants to submit as soon as possible. Grants will be awarded from March 2022.

Attached you will find a range of information on the BCGP. We appreciate your support in sharing this information with your stakeholders to ensure we are able to attract as many applications for the BCGP as possible from industries and projects across Northern Australia.

A short video explaining the BCGP is available here: bit.ly/BCGPvideo.

We will also host a free, public information webinar at 11am ACST on Wednesday, 15 December 2021 to help potential applicants understand the program and application process. Interested parties can register here: bit.ly/BCGPWebinar15Dec2021. The webinar will also be recorded and published on the Office of Northern Australia’s YouTube channel.
