Carbon Farming Outreach Program – NOW OPEN

The Australian Government has released the Australian Carbon Credit Unit (ACCU) implementation plan and the guidelines for applications to the Carbon Farming Outreach Program.

The plan, managed by the Australian Government Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW), outlines the timing and approach to fulfil the reforms recommended in the Independent Review of ACCUs. A consultation process will then commence to gather feedback and insights on the implementation of these reforms.

DCCEEW has also released the Carbon Farming Outreach Program grant guidelines. Up to $17.5 million over 3 years is available to deliver training and advice to farmers to integrate low emission technologies and practices into their farming operations and land management practices.

Grants between $1 million and $17.5 million covering up to 100% of eligible project expenditure.

Organisations such as rural service and extension providers, natural resource management organisations and First Nations groups to deliver training and advice to farmers and land managers across Australia.
