Growing Regions Program

The Australian Government has launched the new Growing Regions Program with the release of the grant opportunity guidelines.
On 6 May 2023 the Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government, the Hon Catherine King MP announced the release of the guidelines for Round 1 of the Government’s new $600 million Growing Regions Program.
The program will invest in infrastructure and community projects across regional Australia through two $300 million funding rounds – driving economic growth, enhancing livability, bolstering social inclusion and supporting local amenity.
The first stage of the Round 1 application process will be an Expression of Interest which will open on 5 July 2023. Successful EOIs will then progress to the full application stage (Stage 2). Eligible applicants will be required to demonstrate how their project aligns with regional priorities for their areas in Stage 1 and 2 of the application process.
