Remote Airstrip Upgrade Program ready for take-off

Australia’s airstrip network provides a vital service to people living in rural and remote areas.
The Remote Airstrip Upgrade Program (Round 10) will improve network safety, while enabling better access to important supplies and emergency care for all Australian communities.
Australia’s remote airstrip network provides vital access between remote communities and major regional centres, by delivering urgent supplies and the coordination of life-saving flights for those in need. Many eligible airstrips also service remote First Nations communities, aiding their access to vital services and supplies.
Eligible airstrip owners or operators can apply for grants of between $5,000 and $3 million for works to improve remote airstrip safety and access.
